Life is unfair
The only thing that makes life unfair is the delusion that it should be fair - copied from somewhere.
The sheer unfairness of life or cruelty to its beings. I am averse to these mindless noisy protests that does not bring any change. Primarily done to claim your fame for a day and die a natural death after the novelty wears off.
One of such marathon held last year where a contestant was training hard for a marathon and a day before the event, she got her periods. Ideally there are two ways, one is run with tampons or skip due to discomfort. No, our contestant decides that it is her moment, she wishes to raise awareness of women hygiene and hence decides to run with blood seeping through the legs and probably on the road leaving a trail all the way. This created a furore. All the camera and scribes followed this girl. This was an unprecedented sight. In a matter of no time, the girl was a celebrity of sort. Everyone wanted her interview, bytes. Crowd cheered to her as she ran.
The other contestant who was also training equally hard, had same ambitions but probably was not so lucky that day. She participated in the race, ran with all her might looking no where. Oops she won the race but to her surprise no was cheering for her. All the eyes were on the OTHER girl. Media clapped as they have got their fodder for days to come, everyone else clapped as they did not know what else to do.
The winner after getting her medal went to the scribes and cameramen herself hoping that they would want to talk to her. She asked them if they want to take her bytes. The journo asked if she is the one who ran without tampon? She said, " No, but I am the one who won it". I dont know what happened next.
For me, the poor girl lost even after winning while someone else hogged the limelight.
That is how life is.
Though I still want to understand how does running with all the blood raises awareness in the segment who are not used to women hygiene. Oh naivety, you are so cruel.
